Why You Need Professional Female Voiceover for Your eLearning Project
As tempting as it may be to outsource the voiceover for your training to somebody who “has a good voice” in your office, it’s better to use a professional. Audio quality is the first thing ears pick up on when a course starts – it sets the tone for the credibility of the content and whether or not the student or listener feels receptive to learning.
Elearning is a booming genre in the COVID era. With so many people learning at home, you need a voice actor who can really reach through the screen and bring the human element to your project. In fact, there are so many courses being prepared for virtual presentation these days, that the voice is paramount to cut through the noise and monotony of being on a screen for so much time while learning.
Different Roles I Offer
I have distinctly different sounds I can offer. What about that off-the-cuff, casual sound of a subject matter expert standing in front of a group of people? Or do you want a really polished, professional and confident sound? Or somebody so genuine and friendly you can’t help but listen to what they say? Or the mom who is patiently teaching her students? Or a scenario based character like a call center representative or therapist, who needs to be able to model a particular tone for the listener? I’m a creative and resourceful actress who can customize the sound perfectly to your audience.
Elearning Voice-Over with the Spirit of a Teacher
As a part-time homeschooling mom, I have the spirit of a teacher and place tremendous value on education. Whether’s it’s K-12, post secondary, technical or medical, or something else, my broad base of knowledge informs my elearning narration.
In particular, kids’ modules with remote learning is an area I specialize in. As a mother to three, I understand what it takes to reach children of different ages and how to tweak my mom voice to keep those kiddos engaged.
I’ve even worked as a teacher and presenter in several capacities, and have a confident and kind presence with the ability to transfer knowledge in an engaging manner.
Increase Retention with Professional Voiceover
Don’t put too much on the spoon! A voice over artist who can make the script bite-size will serve your material in a way that increases retention. My goal when I’m voicing? To help the listener or student pass the test at the end – whether that be a literal test or a figurative one of deep understanding. I can help your listener unpack that dense material.
A Plesant Voice for Your Elearning Module
The only person truly tired of my voice is my husband…but I jest. For long compliance, training or educational courses, the voice must be pleasant to listen to. There’s nothing worse than somebody sitting down to a five hour course and two minutes in they realize they really dislike the sound of the narrator’s voice. By adding variety to pitch, tone and inflection, I can avoid being monotonous. I look for opportunities in the script to change the pace or inflection to signal transitions and keep the listeners’ ears tuned to the material.
I don’t have any strong regionalisms, which can be a real distraction during a course. Imagine a narrator who has a strong Long Island accent…well, if you live in Long Island that might a’ight, but if not? At best a distraction and at worst a real turn-off.
How to Get Professional Voiceover
Getting quality voiceover doesn’t have to be hard, and I’m happy to walk you through it step by-step. I love working with people who’ve never hired professional voice talent before. My style is to always under-promise and over-deliver when working with my clients. No project is too large or too small, because my goal is for us to create great things again and again. It’s as simple as requesting a quote by briefly describing the sound you’re looking for, and sharing the script with me. I’m happy to provide free read samples that we can send back and forth to get the read exactly how you want it. I typically turn projects around in 24-hours. Don’t have a script yet? Give me a sense of how long the finished project will be and I can still give you a ballpark estimate.
